HIDDEN SECRETS OF BRANDING BEHIND THE LEADING COMPANIES

Branding is an art when it comes to marketing, where every modern marketer should know the tacticts behind it to hyper-growth their businesses.
So let us see some of the companies in real time how they utilized branding to give a global reach.
 Starbucks :
If you’ve ever bought a drink from the coffee chain you’ve probably noticed the mermaid-style fish woman in a green circle smiling back at you.

The twin-tailed mermaid was incorporated into the Starbucks logo in 1971 ‘to capture the seafaring history of coffee.

Spotify :
Ek were randomly yelling out potential names when Ek misheard Spotify. After a quick Google search, he recognized the name was not taken and shortly after registered the domain. Ek, Now claims Spotify stems from SPOT and IDENTIFY.

Airbnb :
If we’re objective, the new Airbnb logo looks no more like genitalia than a lowercase ‘d’, or (heaven forfend) a lowercase ‘a’.

I suspect the real reason most people began mocking the design is that it was simply fun. It’s irrelevant, and carries with it a small victory for freedom over the power of the mighty corporation. And that, is exactly what Airbnb were aiming for.

Nest :
It started its product line with very delicious and palatable Milk chocolate. Five logos have been created for the company so far. The logo of Nestle is one of the most recognized logos of all time. The meaning of the brand name ‘Nestle’ in German is nest. The first logo was created due to this reason only. In the year 1988, the last change to the logo was made showing worm in the beak was taken out of the mother. The blue color of the logo represents purity.

NBC :
NBC’s logo has a couple of hidden meanings. It’s clear that it’s a peacock, but why? When the logo was developed color televisions were being introduced (explaining the rainbow of colors), and the network wanted a logo that would cause black and white tv owners to make the switch. So, they went with the common phrase (at the time), ‘proud as a peacock’, promoting that they were proud of their new color system.
